  • MY EVENINGS PLANNED

    hey you guyssssss:>>

  • SLIMEWIRE

Bugger that site but lesson learned, 45 squids to get a complete virus scan and get them to go tattie bye byes. 3 trojans and a backdoor criter, and that was from one bloody album. CB was away most of the week to so the lappy would have been handy for entertainment but hey ho the house is clean and i have no washing pile.

So what has TF been up to this week? well still nae nookie, nope nothing i think my hymen may have grown back :)) Been working the playscheme all week and took the kids to Nultys end of the toon yesterday to play in the park and go a walk through Glasgow Uni grounds, was a wedding happening so didnt think they would be wanting 30+ kids kicking about so heading towards the galleries but did'nt have enough time to go in, CB is off down to my brothers next week (i still love the fact we dont talk but he still has loads of time for his Niece) No idea what i'll be getting up to, nothing no doubt as i've kinda took a step back from peeps as i dont like alot of whats going on and i dont want to be involved in other peoples shit when its stupid brought on themselves crap.

Applied for 2 jobs one stacking shelfs but its a job and the other as (might be out my deoth here) line manager in a nursing home dealing with the catering and domestic side. The wage for the second one is rather pants considering the responsibility and no pension but still have to wait and see if i get an interview before worrying about to much responsibility.

So thats been my world this week, hows all yours been?

  • back asap

lappy has got himself a rather nasty virus. He is going to the puter hospital later and hopefully return to full strength soon. must have been that file i tried to download from limewire, was rammsteins latest album, just incase your planning on downnloading it from shitty lime virused up wire.

  • DAY 3

I have put off this post all afternoon as it was the end of our jolly :(. CB refused to get out her comfy bed and go down for breakfast, i had to drag the duvet from her and listen to her moans but i cant complain as i totally understand where she was coming from. After another filling breakfast and getting all our gear together..oh i should say that on the wednesda when we came back soaking wet twice Shona offered to dry our clothes off in her hot cupboard (where the fk do you get a host like that?) We asked if it was possible that when we left at the 10.00 a.m check out if we could leave our bags there and pick them up later that day, she said no problem and took our things inot her private quarters, she even told us to hold onot our key incase we had to come back for anything and she wasnt in. I should also say that being a single parent peeps met us with trepidation as well we lone parents have got a bad name over the years but Shona treated us magnificintly.

We headed back to the park and what a diffrence a sunny day makes, the queue to get inot the place was spilling out into the carpark, as we had our passes we fast tracked it and were in within minutes. We done the squirrel trail walk
    no squirrels here
and saw no squirrels, its red squirrels in the forrest and the pathway was full of information on the wildlife that lives within it. Infact there are loads of educational things in the park and i did take a few piccies but i'll tell you about the fun before i try and remember all the learning we took in.
The queues to get on things was ridiculous, We done the rope course again and CB met a new friend Joe who was autistic and his mum was a bit fearful of him doing things but CB took his hand told his mum he would be fine and took him on things, even when you could tel he was getting frustrated CB just told him to relax and copy her, i was so proud of her and the patience she showed towards him, i think his mum was grateful too as she was getting stressed out with his hissy fits.
We went to go on the rollercoaster thing but it was closed due to technical faults, i have no idea how many times we went round it the day before but we were the only ones using it so that struck a bit of fear in me and what could have happened. maybe we just wore it out lol.

We went for the rock climbing since it was a nice day and we done not to shabby, i made it 3/4 of the way up before loosing my footing and fell to earth, ok i was harnesses in and did go weeee whilst on the way down. CB just had fun going so far up and absailing down it.

Another few go's on the water slides which we both loved, the curly one being my favorite as as a child i loved the Goonies (still do) and it was like the bit when they slid down to get to the ship hee hee.

One last go on the rope course and then as it was just after 4 we had to say goodbye and pick up a fw souviners at the gift shop. Also got an amazing full size poster of the Cairngorms which will be framed and put up somewhere in the nest.

Oh nearly forgot we also donr the maze a few times, dont know how i forgot that as i've always wanted to do a maze, we got lost well puggled a few times on the first and second day but on the third we had it sussed and just basicl acted dumb giving a few peeps a giggle at us
    the maze

Got back to the b&b and Shona was outside pottering about in her beautiful garden, thanked her so much for her hospitality and gave her a small gift. She invited us in for a cuppa and biscuit before we left. Time was cracking on and as the village only has trains stopping twice a day we had no option but to bid farewell, Shona drove us to the station, how nice was that?

We soaked up as much of the scenery we could and had to prise ourselves out the car, we really did'nt want to leave.

Cant believe we conqured so much and theres bit i still havent blogged about but i will whilst there fresh in my mind. Heres a couple more piccies, only uploaded some of them but each one is a fresh memory

i can do anythingsurprise at perth

We had to change at Perth on the way down and above is the surprise that greeted us, ok a few of you know i'm a bit of a train spotter so i was well chuffed at this choo choo being in the station right across from the Glasgow platform. Needless to say CB wants to go for a travel for a weekend on it, as would anyone with taste:).

  • GET WELL SOON NULTY ;-)

    Ssssh its a secret :>>

  • DAY 2

After a wonderful nights sleep no doubt induced by the fresh unpolluted air we woke up to the rain pounding down, we threw some casuals on and made our way down for breakfast. Bacon sausage mushrooms tomato beans toast eggs and a large mug of de-caf coffee that Shona bought in when she seen i had brought my own de-caf. Quick shower and a tidy of the room, i know that when you stay in a hotel/b&b peeps come in and tidy behind you but were not that kinda people. Put on our waterproofs and headed back to the park. Since the rain was evil we thought alot of the stuff would be closed but no it was all open and as an added bonus it was empty so no waiting for stuff.

We started off on the rope course again which was a tad slippy but harness't up we were'nt bothering if we slid off in mid air. Whe we were waiting for our turn on the tuesday a woman a bit older than me wimped out halfway round and had to be lowered to the safety of solid ground, so with this in mind i took a deep breathe and steped off the first platform to the slipper swining logs. It took us a bit longer to get round it but as the place was empty there was no pressure on us. We done it several times after that during the course of the day.

We were contemplating doing the rock climbing but i was unsure as its a sheer rock face and i forgot m boots and my trainers arent the best in the world so we asked the instructor gis opinion and he said no no no.

Since we were already wet we walked over tot he water slides, wow what a diffrence we were waiting up to an hour for a shot the previous day but we could climb all the stairs without being held up and splash our way to the bottom within econds, dont know how many times we climbed the stairs but i have calfs like a footballer, must have been at least 40 times. CB was loving it.

I really wanted to take a walk up to the fire tower so after persuading CB we walked up but stopping off before hand to do a bit of log cutting.
    log cutting

The rain was relentless and didnt give up, if anything it was getting harder at times but everyone knows to go jollying in Scotland you got to be hardcore. We reached the fire tower which stretches higher than the ancient trees and used in case there is a forrest fire and peeps can see the direction its going.
    fire tower

The views were magnificent looking over the Cairngorms, on a dry bright day they would have been spectacular but you got to make the most of a bad situation
    view from tower
Still could see for miles with a little help
    can see for miles mum

We had a go at the the other rope course, looking down is not a good idea but no choice as you wouldnt be able to get the footing right
    rope works
Glad we done this when the place was empty as it meant there wasnt much bouncing about when trying to balance.

The pplace was resonably priced for food, since it was raining we decided to eat in the resteraunt rather than the grill, maybe not such a good idea when you had to put back on wet clothes but hey ho.

CB started doing my head in so....
    head on plate
Then just for fun we done a worzel gummage and oput CBs head on my body
    my bod, br head
The bambozaleum place was great, optical illusions and yummy sweets that were'nt there when you tried to pick them up
    hologram

Thought we were begining to feel the heat but...
    feling the heat

Found some great mirrors, told CB if the wind changes she'd stay that way
    if the wind changes

About 4 oclock we decided to go back to the b&b and get changed as we were soaked through, when we returned half an hour later we thought the park had closed but it was'nt we were just the only ones apart from the staff who were there so we hit the rollercoaster thing. It normally goes round once before having to exit to the left and collect your belong but Rob (nice gu from Canada) asked us how many times we wanted to go round. Cb said 20 so he set it to 20. We sat in the front with the rain hitting of us at every twist and turn, Finlay (another staff) came on with us halfway through and told us to sit at the back as its faster there so we plodded off to another puddled seat and he was right, the back does go faster. Rob heard that we were there to do a risk assesment aswell as to have fun so he didnt let us off it til he was satisfied we had tested every carraige and seat, we were on the thing for over asn hour and each ride only lasts 28 seconds!!! yes we got it spot on going in the rain.

When the park closed we headed back for a hot bath and hot chocolate. The room had an array of dvds kindly left by Shona and a stack of books. Thought that was brand new of her to be so considerate. The way the weather was there was no way we could have went for a walk, well we could have but decided not to. Shona also told me that if i wanted to go buy some food she would cook it for us but we had bought chips before leaving the park but still really kind of her. We settled inot bed at 9.30 and sleeping soundly by 10.

Reall glad it was just the 2 of us as i felt that i had'nt spent any time on my own with CB for ages, and i had'nt. We laughed sang fooled around and even took up a mini slam dunk set i had got from the pound shop.

  • SO MUCH TO TELL, HERES DAY 1

Oh wow we cant believe how good our 2 day jolly was and how much we managed to pack into it. Maybe now peeps will realise how much i want to live in a part of this beautiful country that isnt ruined by broken bottle dog poo and concrete.

On the way up the weather was amazing, then i jinxed it by saying to CB that it was supposed to be raining, just as we hit
    avimore stn
the rain started but as you can see it wasnt to nasty
    avimore loch

When we got to Carrbridge we started our adventure by walking the mile or so to our B&B, the view from our room was gorgeous
    view from hotel

We dumped our stuff and walked down to the adventure park which we really only had to roll out the hotel door too. There is so much to do and was really glad we made the choice to go there. We upgraded our passes then and there. The place was really busy and had to wait for ages to get on stuff but as we had 3 days to explore it we did'nt complain (no complaints BDA:))) We started with the rollercoaster, tell ou more about that on day 2.
Then we hit the rope obstacle course
    monkey
I gave myself a wedgie with the harness but im not a boy so it did'nt hurt just uncomfy.
The water slides were awesome, the falcon was a straight down as you go, wildcat made you airbourne twice on the bumps and the otter which was curly wurly and if you moved from side to side you could get it upside down in the tunnel
    water slides
Then there was the skydive, wow, just wow. I thought CB would bottle it and i was nearly right, she hesitated to long and the guy (Robbie) came up to get her but she told him to push her and push he did.
    sky dive
Got more pics on my phone but no lead so need to bluetooth them in the photoshop to the machine then scan then upload blah blah blah.
So that was day 1, the activities finish at 6 and the parks open to 7 but we were tired from the journey and getting a bit stinky ith sweating so we plodded back to the hotel for our pot nooddles and cup o soups and have an early night.
The village itself if picturesque (sry spelling) only has a spar and a take away that opens thursday friday and saturday. The owner of the b&b, Shona was great, telling us about pon trekking the woodland walk, war memorial, river and gave us a map of the area if we wanted to go exploring. We didnt have time to do the village stuff but next time we go up we wil, and we are detremined to go back again soon. CB cried when we had to leave as she wants to live up there. We over dosed on the fresh air, and i can see why she fell in love with the place. I did too but i still love Aberfoyle and will someday get my little nest there, after weve lived in Carrbridge for a few years ;)

  • IT STINKS

Really , after an overdose of proper oxygen we have decided that this town stinks and were moving up north. Had a great time. Going to bed to recover from all the stuff i'll bore you with tomorrow :)

  • EVER WONDERED.....

    ....I THOUGHT THIS WAS COOL

  • NO LET UP

It's still raining and i mean raining. Checked the forecast for Aviemore and guess what..heavy showers. Got a feeling our trip away to the adventure forrset park might be a bit of a washout. Fuck i'm still going to be paying for this in a few months as i spoke nicely to Mr bank man. So really living in Scotland we should be used to crap weather and to a certain extend we are, i cant find the hiking bag with the waterproofs, i have a bad feeling i left them in a mates car the lat time i was out walking in the glens up up north. Case is nearly packed, weve got our cup o soups pot nooddles biscuits hot chocolate oh and a few clothes, i am determined that as were only away 2 nights (hamster) that i am only taking one caes and its a weekend one at that. Still got all the fleeces nah scrap that we'll need to wear them tomorrow, but if the rain hold up the way the met i saying were going to need at least 3 changes per day...i'm not going to the village pub in my joggies and boots. Oh on a good note the village is part of the whisky trail and i am partial to the odd malt.

At the end of the day its away from the mess which is this street and we reall need to get away as the neighbours who are having the affair has been rumbled by the wife, not sure how she has'nt tippled before as peeps who dont even know them know about it. Every time i have spoke to the wife (she lives 2 doors down) i have felt crap and wanted to say something but after consulting my mum she's told me to sta out it, its none of my beeswax and i have my own family to worry about. She's right, when i got told CB dad was at it with a 18 year old i did'nt appreciate it, then again him fucking about was the least of m problems when i found stuff under the bathroom flooring. And it wasnt porn.

Suppose i should get back to this case malarky, maybe we can just wear all sorts tomorrow and tie al the zippers round our waists...might also take the woman up on her offer to pick us up from the station. Oh this is where we are going to spending our activities

  • WHEN I GROW UP......

    .....
    road rage

    :>>

  • MISCHIEF

Was only complaining the other da how i was bored and needed a right good laugh. Cheers BR for our posts last night and the fact you left comments open. Yes most of my comments were complete gobblygook to those who werent looking through my hazed eyes, but to me things were just clicking left right and centre. So Rich thank you so much.

As you can probably tell i had a private party to myself and no-one was invited apart from THE FUTUREHEADS who brought my musical entertainment.

  • MY PRECIOUS

No diamonds or lord of the rings here, my baby cousin is now a full fledged Nanny and has relocated to London for a year. Spoke to her on msn there and she's settling in well. As she's the baby out of all of us we fell a certain need to watch over her and give her a bit of guidance every now and then. I want to go down and give her a hug and tell her well done for following her dreams. Shes away camping at the weekend well log cabining it with the family so they can really get to know each other before she starts properly at the end of the month. Such a huge step for a teenager but im so proud of her for doing this on her own.

Hoovers great, i'm a manky git, 3 times the thing got emptied, i even hoovered the laminate and vinyl. The notion will soon wear off as i'm not known for being OCD with dust.

Took CB's sd card from her camera up to the photo shop today , need to post some of them, like the plug sockets, light shades, magazine covers and the usual double chined ones when you take a piccie of yourself. None of the wedding they went there for  that would have made to much sense.

Oh was at my vol work yesterday and i mentioned (told anyone who would listen) that were off to Carrbridge for a few days, the head youth worker asked me if i fancied doing a risk assesment whilst i was there and get some expenses for it, so got a few more pennys for spends.

Also found out that one of my other cousins (via f/b coz family tell me nothing) that she works in the dentist i'm planning on registering at works there. Good thing patients files are private or else my mum would have a field day giving me a lecture on my (lack of) teeth.

  • BITING THE DUST

I caved in last week and ordered a hoover from my friend the catalouge holder. I know this is going to sound discusting but i have'nt owned a hoover since mine died last year. I only have my hall stairs carpeted and a large rug in the living room so a good hard brush has served me well. This hoover has one of those things that catches the dirt instead of a bag, ah there called bagless hoovers are'nt they? Oh well time to try it out and be mightly discusted with myself.

  • SPLISH SPLASH

Will sleep tonight, always do after a good few hours at the swimming. I'm al for this free swim for kids but why do they let the kids jump in when there are peeps trying to do lengths? I could see the point if we only had one pool in the sports center but there's 3. In the end they shut a lane off for peeps who wanted to do a few lengths although there was only 5 us one lane really wasnt of any use. Even as a strong swimmer i am not what they call fast, so when doing the clockwise thing i was getting took over by those who were in which was leading to a few near misses with the swimers coming down. In the end i gave up and make an exit to the 2nd pool where CB and her friend were.

Ben avoiding my phone most of day too, admirer has got my mobile number from someone and i am not changing a number i've had for over 6 years, even when my phone got dipped out my bag i asked o2 for a sim with the same number. And whilst i'm on it, why do peeps think you should be contactable 24/7? I did'nt have a mobile until CB was born so if i choose not to look at it for a few days then thats up to me. Do you not think though that privacy is a thing of the past, cant get you on house phone then phone mobile, send you email, insist you go on msn, check f/b someone im's you. You really cant pick your nose in the comfort of your own nest without it being on the internet.

Cant see out my windows because of the rain, it's bucketing it down and th eheating is up full. I know some peeps prefer this sort of eather but i want some sunshine, i'm not asking for it to be hot just dry so we can do a bit of hill walking or go a picnic down the glen whilst picking bluebells or take the bikes along the canal stopping off to watch the barges and give a friendly wave.

I want to go wild and do something completly potty, i feel like a goldfish just now, and i dont mean running through the streets doing a Nulty. I want to go to a gig and bounce my sannies off the floor whilst waving my arms in the air, i want a laugh and a joke til m sides are splitting. and i want CB to brush her bloody hair before it look slike rats tails.

  • UNWANTED ATTENTION

I've got an admirer in the shape of a friends nephew, he's 6 years older than me looks like he's just fell out of a tree and has the stinkiest feet in the universe. So as you can tell th efeeling is not recipocated.

Getting fed up of these going on 40 guys thinking that because i'm single then to give a refusal of any sort of date i'm being an arse. I'm not, i simply want to be on my peepod until someone with the wow factor catches my eye. I believe your never to old to be fussy and trust me i'd rather be foosty than start something just because he wants company.

It's kinda putting me off going round to her house as he's there alot and when he's not he's on the phone constant. He sent me a request on f/b earlier but i havent decline dit yet and neither have i accepted.

Going to bed to see if i can find some smokey rainbows and the odd unicorn

  • CHUGGA CHUGGA WHOO WHOO

No turning back, train tickets are in my pocket. Really looking forward to this jaunt. Have to change choo choo's at perth but i knew that already and it's actually a bit of a bonus. I was thinking about it last night and there's a nice wee eaterie in Perth so whilst were busy waiting on the train we can go get a spot of supper making our wee trip away last a bit longer. I am justifing this (to myself) by....when we get home on the thursday night i would no doubt phone a take away. So that saves me having to pile on more pennys to the phone bill too.

Louden castle on the Sunday when we return, another cheap day out as its only costing 8 quid for the 2 of us travel and admission.

Yeah think weve done not to shabby so far :)

  • ADRENALINE JUNKIE

The hamster has took up a new past time, climbing the curtains running over the rail and then bungee jumping withot a rope down to the floor. His house is getting a bit small for him so we have took to just letting him run about all night. We do leave his door open so he can and does go get a bite to eat and a wee drink. It's also a really good way of keeping at least one room in the nest clean and tidy, not that my house is bogin but you know what its like when kids bring mates in and kids do the kids stuff.

Been thinking about my brother tonight, my mum told me earlier that he was coming up in a few weeks to take CB to her yearly visit at his nest in the Dales. Even though we have'nt spoke in 16 months it's nothing to do with any of the kids but i'm peeved that when his little one was born a month ago i send down parcels for both the kids. Did i even get a text message saying thank you?..did i feckles. I got spoke about for months because i did'nt get them anything for there xmas (brother and SIL not the kids)

Mmmmmm, just heard the weirdest thing coming from the heating, was the hammy getting up to no good me thinks. Gave him a bath earlier, i'm not sure if our allowed to do that as the self clean but his towel/face cloth looked rather fetching round him.

Time to go rescue him and go to my bed, been a weird few days, done nothing but still feel i have'nt touched down since friday.

  • OH FOR F'S SAKE

Never going to believe this one, have the holiday money sorted and then i go and spoil it all by reading my email. TITP tickets go on sale at 9.00 tomorrow morning. Oh bloody hell what a fkn dilema.

I did'nt go this year, thought i would be heavily disappointed all weekned but i did'nt bother my backside, as i said before festovians are on the decline and the hip hop ned brigade are slowly taking over. Reports i got on a 10 minute basis from peeps up there gave good reports but i did'nt flinch once. I really do feel after saying for the past 5 ears this is going to be my last T i have finally done it. I will instead take CB to ickle festivals and mould her into a mini me, although her hair is nicer.

Oh and can i just say how wonderful the wifie at the hotel is, she contacted the railway for me to find out times of straight through travel so we did'nt have to change at Perth. Oh i really should do a cut and paste the woman is great even offering to pick us up from the choo choo station and allowing us entry to the hotel even though there check in is'nt til after 4.00p.m hotel is www.pineridgecarrbridge.com

Oh and for the record..i hate this stupid blinking rain....where the feckles is the sun?

  • OFF ON ANOTHER JOLLY

Destination booked and confirmed, can only afford to go away for 2 days but CB and myself feel we have done well in our choice of accomidation. No tents this summer folks. It is an old house just on the outskirts of Aviemore and looks very posh indeed, i even used my telephone voice when doing the online booking;D. Its a little place called Pine Lodge and owned by Alan and Shona. Its also right on the doorstep (if a doorstep is a 15 minute walk) to Landmark which is that place i'm being mumbing my gums about for ages. The total cost for this jolly is roughly 200 but i know if we went to blackpool for the weekend it would be in excese of 400 and if we done our normal and went camping it would be about 40. This penny pinching i had to do for CB to go to Greece and for me to go down south has been a good learning curve. Dont get me wrong were living on basics but it has'nt effected our health, cutting back on luxurys (like electric) has been good for the soul and the reward at the end is a great wee jolly.

Do really need to get a job though, i have'nt been out of work like this in my life, i'm going to fall inot that horrible rut where i jst simply wont want to work.

  • BURP, GREEDY ME

I took the notion for pickles yesterday, forgot to pt them in my cheese piece so have sat and munched my way through a whole jar with a fork, hope no-one wants a kiss :>>

Oh that reminds me, in town yesterday i flirted with a guy in the town house furnishing shop, it's a cheap and cheery place but i still managed a discount. No-one was harmed in the making of my flirting and probably made the guys day.

  • HELLO (echos like an empty cave)

  • BILLY NO MATES!!!

Reading BDA's blog about her doing a cull has well not got me thinking as i done a group cull the other da and since i came back i've been contemplating doing the same thing. I have to say that in my abscence i was only culled by 2 who quickly once PM'd brought be back to there little group of "friends". I think if i was to do an honest ruthless cull i would be left with oh i dunno about 10 peeps.

There are several "friends" i dont comment on as there never posting to comment on, some i read but hold reservasion on commenting as i dont think my input would be of any use or because i can be a bit obscure on certain things it leads to further questioning that some times i dont have an answer for because i was no doubt under some kind of influence when commenting. Others on here simply do my head in and know what the will comment before finishing my post so sometimes i leave things out so as to not get my bubble burst.

Even when doing friends only posts i do click boxes as randoms dont need to know about close family stuff, especially when it comes to pics.

No doubt i will one night when full of tottie juice go ah feck it lets get deleting, i'm not sure the peeps would even notice.

Some have left and as the tinternet is usefull with social networking sites i have them on f/b or msn, we still touch base every now and then.

What holds me back is the fact i was away for a longish time but peeps had faith i would be back.

I have different sites for duffrent things, myspace friends column is full of bands, i refuse to allow friends on it, Bebo (yes i still have it) has also got friends on it and bands plus its full of gig piccies which i really need to copy onto the lappy as i lost loads of pics when the pc blew up. Facebook, again just friends. I dont think i have random friends on anything apart from blogland.

Yeah im rabbling i know, i'm going

  • WELLIES AND TENTS

Well i should as i have done for the previous 16 years really be getting my crap together, hunting the nest for peemates, lacing up my wellies (yes they really do lace up) and heading off to the big muddy field in Balado and preparing myself for a weekend of...erm..mayhem.

Not this year, CB is'nt going to her fathers this weekend so my ickle cousin has my ticket and you know what, i'm not bothered. Thought i would be but sitting here watching the rain lash down im glad im in my jimjams. I've done to many mud fests and yes i do normaly get over the fact that i'm stinky for a full weekend but it's getting tiresome.

I say bring back the festivals of yesteryear when people went for the music and get to know other peeps in the little community. Nowadays it's all about how much you can drink and stepping over peeps who have just over indulged and fell where they once stood.

I really do think and i have done for many years that i was born to late. Yeah i like to put the odd flower in my hair and dance like no-ones watching but the older i get the more peeps think i'm weird, dont care i like my flowers :) and the mad colours i pt in my hiar every now and then....oh how i miss the crazyness.

So no festival this weekend, still lots to come this year and as CB is now a mini festovian i should really stick to the smaller ones where kids are catered for as much as adults.

I really hope the weather breaks and the sun pops out to say hello to the T trippers.

Just a mild thought, i've a garden a tent an extension lead...oh a mini TITP in the comfort of my garden with a working toilet just yards away:crazy:

  • WHEN I GROW UP....

..I'm going to work at the Beeb, i have never seen so much tottie in one place at one time. Bloody hell talk about needing to run home for clean knickers, grease lighting did'nt have a look in :p

So the kids show was good and i can honestly say that the production team know how to look after there audience, we were given fruit chocolate refreshments and alot of good quality entertainment. I believe the show is to be aired in September, CB got her wish and was in the front row of the audience just behind the winning team who were as mad as hatters at a tea party. So she will be on t.v sporting her sun tan and fancy hair plaits. I think i'm in love with Sam he reminded me of my ex who i still drool over and i swear he looked me straight in the eyes whilst i was trying my best at sitting up straight to show off my little assests, oh maybe now i'm decendant from royalty (vera duckwrth here) i might be in with a chance (scoff).

Seriously though it was a great day and we were given leaflets to be part of the audience again which i might look into if i ever remember where i put my bag. The only down side was the way the chairs were organised we couldnt see parts of the show but i had a squint in the monitors and got the general jist of it all.

During the last game the kids crowded round the team and myself and the 2 other adults i was with were asked if we wanted to go backstage and watch it being filmed on the monitors amongst the hustle and bustle of the staff, we did and what a treat, i did'nt realise that so many peeps were needed to make one show.

Off to bed now with my signed piccie of Sam, no im not cause thats in m bag and i cant find it onywhere:crazy:

Ah to be a teenager again lol.

  • A LITTLE TREAT

Fot CB today, whilst i was on my jaunts i got a phone call asking if CB and myself fancied tickets to see one of the shows CBBC do getting filmed. CB watches this programme so i said YES. So in a bit, once were dressed, were off to the studios to see Copycats with Sam and Mark. I'm sure thats the guys who do the whole boogies things so should be fun.

Plus it gets us out of this place for the day. We have been looking at our finances and i reacon with the little help of a loan it is feesable to go away for a week together, i'm still tripping on this idea of Inverness to the outdoor adventure place and if i manage to budget well over the next couple of weeks a b&b could also be possible.

There really is'nt enough weeks in the summer holibobs this year for all the odds and ends we have got planned but it will be a good action filled summer.

  • FACEBOOK REUNION

Whilst i was away i paid a visit to Leeds to met up with my big sister, i thought id be nervous but i think getting on and off several trains and not having a clue where i was made me forget to be nervous. My 2 neices and nephew are lovely kids apart fromt he fact i went through the 2 oldest when everyone else was in bed as i caught them smoking pot. Yeah i know pot kettle but i still pulled rank. The kids say that apart from sounding diffrent i was there mum over the back by the way i spoke laughed looked acted sat etc. We are going to go back down in a few weeks once i have financially recovered from 2 sets of holibobs.
I'm not going to say it was an amazing reunion but it was good and it's nice to know i have more family out there waiting to be found.

  • THE EAGLE HAS LANDED

Well it landed late last night but due to the flight getting in at silly o'clock CB and Mummsie sent the night in a hotel.
I have given more squeezy hugs today than i can remember. Carebear had a fab time in Santorini. The only bad thing to happen was the groom drinking the local water and missing his stag night. She is also now swimming like a fish :). One of the days they went on a mini cruise around the Greek islands which CB found ver enjoyable, i'll try and do a spell as you speak as i have'nt a scobby the right spelling, Kalamari, thirisa, oya, hot springs a volcanic island and she cant remember where else.
She also went on a motorbike ride around the island and went on a donkey to the top of a mountain. All in all she came back with many tales to tell and a boyfriend she met in an irish bar where she told me she had a shot of tequilla, after further questioning it turned out to be a shot of mango juice.
My washing pile is huge and mummsie ensures me that not once did she have to reel her in as she was good as gold the whole time.
Just so glad my babys home and apart from a bit of sunburn on her nose fit and healthy.

  • THE WILIMA

Was held on the monday night in a huge banqueting hall (spelling i know) I was'nt as daunted about this part of the celebration as it was segregated and i knew most of Sarahs friends. It was'nt traditional traditional as she wore a white wedding dress that was showered in sworski crystals, it was also arranged to have a bit of scottish in it and the bagpipe player was very accomidating by standing in a cupboard so the girls did'nt have to put there hajibs on. Anyone getting played into a hall to Scotland the brave has to have a little tear in there eye. Once Sarah had been escorted in Mehmood followed and they both sat on a grand looking stage while photographs were taken and guest took it in turns to go up and wish the couple the best of wishes.
Mehmmod was then taken into the mens section of the venue and the girls litrally let there hair down, i had to look twice at a few of them as even though man i have known for years i had never seen them without there abias and hajibs. They wore western clothes where as i and another went for a more ethnic dress as to not disrespect. I was seated at the family table which being an ex inlaw was a great feeling.
I really wish CB was there as (i cant believe i'm saying this) i was a tad jealous of all the little kids who were hanging off Sarah, i kept thinking it should be her niece up there doing that.
The food was delightful, shish kebabs, 3 varitys of curry several rices, fish in batter and loads of breads to choose from. There was also a sweet rice for afters which i thought was fab not just fab truly fab:yes:
There was no music being played as requested by the bride so it was a very civilised occasion as we did'nt have to shout to be heard when talking, was almost like a tea party in a sense. The fact there was no alcohol was also an eye opener to someone like me who is used to toasting the couple with a glass of bubbly, we had cole lemonade and water on the table.
At around 11 Sarah and Mehmood left to start there new lives together, this is the first time they had spent time together on there own. I dont care what anyone says this is the only bride i know who could honestly wear white.
I have made many new friends and i am now auntie to umpteen girls and have been invited to anothe rwedding in October, i was asked to stay as the engagement was being announced the other night and i would have loved to but i had other commitments at home that needed tending to.

This weekend that i have slowly being telling you about was fantabulous and something i would never have dreamed of being asked to attend. I am glad i accepted the invite as i feel i have brodened by learning so much in just a few days and got a whole new insight into something many peeps draw dirty looks at.

  • FOR USKY

  • SLIPPING AWAY

Phew what a busy month it has been. Sunday was really the first day that i have'nt had to do anything and i even turned off all phones so i would'nt feel the need to do anything should someone phone. It was great just to stay in bed and watch t.v with a plate of grub and a glass of juice at the side.
Although it was a much needed break it has knacked me up for doing other things that needed doing, like blogging about the wedding and my reunion with my sister. The thing that has also goosed me up is the people around here, i had'nt even put my suitcase in the house when a numpty started telling me there woes. Its not that i'm not intrested its a case of i was on a high and my bubble got burst.
A friend has suggested i go away with him next week down to Oxford but i'm skint and i want to spend time with CB who comes home on wednesday afternoon. Oh yeah even though i was'nt really getting inot the mood i am no longer doing T IN THE PARK. Truthfully i wasnt that bothered but CB's dad wasnt to know that when he told me he was working this weekend and could'nt take her.
I havent lost motivation it just seems to have slipped down the back of the sofa and i cant be assed pulling it out.
The last week has really took it out of me emotionally but in a good way, i have lots of odds and ends to do which does'nt require me moving as its all catch up correspondence but i have brain freeze and even though it isnt urgent i do feel i'm letting peeps down.
Oh 2 sleeps til m Carebear is home and then i have a fab surprise for her on Thursday which requires a trip to the....oh cant tell you because CB reads my blogs from time to time ;D

  • TIRED, OH SO TIRED

I don't as you know do tired but if i counted up the amount of sleep ive had in the past 17 days i dont think it would go over the 24 hour mark. When im tired i think and i should'nt because like everyone else i never come to the right conclusion.

Went up and got a wee shop in earlier, thought i'd get some nice sun dried tomato burgers so i did and buns and burger sauce oh and dont forget the onion. Took me all my time to get round to cooking the burgers and when i finally did i was salvitating. Ate them (kinda) when i was talking to someone on the phone, i always eat when i'm on the phone for some weird reason. I put the weird smell down to the burgers as i got them in the reduced fridge although it's tomorrows date on them, i was halfway through the first one when i noticed a green spot on it . After closer examination i was horrified no infact i was trying to stop my stomach churning, it was as mouldy as flemings wall.

If i had the energy i would march back up to that well known supermarket and demand a i dunno not an apology because thats to simple from a faceless company.

    I need a good massage

  • 26 JUNE 2010

I awoke after a comfortable night on the sofa to be greeted with my cleaning chores. The day of the NIKKA had arrived, Sarah was to be married in the front room of her home. Being the only person who had made an effort to come down from Scotland i did'nt mind being used as a scivvy on this glorious occasion.

I wore a long flowing aqua coloured dress with cardigan to cover my arms in respect of the Oman, Sarah wore the most jeweled outfit i have ever set eyes on and the weight in it was more than my weekly shop, the shawl head dress made her look like the perfect princess.

I did feel out my depth but knew that this would be one of the most unique experiences i would ever have the priviledge to be part of. As there were lots of people there i offered to sit in the next room and listen to the ceremony along with another couple of family friends. The ceremony was in arabic and sounded amazing.

When it was over and the guests came into the room we were sat in i became the perfect host ofering soft drinks food and asking people to sit down. Mehmood (the groom) was so shy i felt for him. After a bite to eat we were ushered back into the other room for the exchanging of the rings. Sarah by that point now a married woman could show her hair and arms and Mehmood has'nt took his eyes off her since.

The new inlaws oblivious to who i was asked me why i was siting with family, i explained i was the brides sister in law and the MIL told me she thought i was the maid (must have made a good host) they did'nt apologise for the misunderstanding but hay sara sara.

After the rings were exchanged we made our way to the garden and sat in the sun for hours talking about al sorts and i listened soaking in new information about Pakistan and India.

I felt at ease but at the same time out my depth, i was scared incase i disrespected anyone but i did do a bit of homework on the rights and wrongs so i don't think anyone thought i was a complete tottie.

That night Sarah and Mehmood went to a park for the first time they were not chaparoned.

Althoough this was an arranged marrage i felt there was a touch of romance about it all. I think that peeps hear the word arranged and think the bride is dragged to the ceremony but it is'nt well it was'nt like that at all. Ok Mehmmod did'nt really know what she looked like but over months of meetings they got to know each other inside and not what is on the outside.

Like i said i will upload piccies but out of respect ones with Sarah withot her headscarf will be for females onl to see, i know you peeps on blogland (especially my friends) will understand and not think i'm being a div.

  • MIRROR MIRROR

On the wall, can you crack so i can see no more.

What with BR talking about the dentist and BDA explaining her lonliness i feel that i should really take heed of there dilemas and get my act together.
I'm not the most wow looking person in the county but i'm not a munter either. I have a decent figure, laugh at all sorts, hold a decent conversation and open minded to new experiences. Over the past week i have been pampered by getting my eye brows done (ok i get them done regularly) but for the first time in years and i mean years i went to the hair dressers and got my hair cut and straightened, my nails done (there all short trina) wore make-up and high heels wore some amazing clothes and being big headed i looked fuckin gorgorgeous. Then i spoil it by opening my mouth, not by talking and making an arse of myself but my teeth. Years of narcotic abuse have kiled them. A few years ago i went to a private dentist and spent over 2 grand getting them in some kind of order only for 2 of them to break after a candy shack opened and i went mad on rubabrb rock, my caps are discoloured another tooth broke a few weeks ago in half but down the way. i have 18 teeth in my gob and at least another 3 need taken out, couple of fillings need done and the caps really need replaced.
So even if i look great as soon as i smile these discusting looking things show and i want the ground to open up and swallow me. i talk with my hand over my mouth most of the time or i try placeing my tounge over the top set.
I have came to realise that although i have my amazing CB (missing her so much the now) that until i get these crumbling things in my mouth sorted then i cannot settle within mself.
Although i am now on state benefits i still owe the dentist some money not much less than 50 quid to be honest but i simply cannot afford it in one go.
Friends take pot shots at me thinking there being kind in a back handed kind of way but they dont realise that inside i'm crying and just want to get away.
I'm shit feart of the dentist, i only went private because they would knock me out and take all the teeth that needed extracted in one go, 11 they took out. I know i should hang my head in shame. How many kids do you know got banned from the school dentist for biting the dentist? well you now know another.

I am i confident person in lots of ways and think nothing of going places on my pee pod but for this i really need someone to hold my hand and drag me there kicking and screaming even though deep down i know that until this issue is resolved i will be stuck in the rut i have created.

Now is'nt that a lesson on how narcotic abuse can still harm you down the years.

  • 25 JUNE 2010

Woke up at half past 4 in the morning to get a shower and last minute packing. Hats off to all you peeps who start work at silly o'clock, i looked like the female out the Grudge standing at the train station next to my ickle nest. By 6.45 i was sitting in central station waiting on the Manchester train still looking worse for wear.

Got off the choo choo at Oxford road and started the hours walk to the ex MIL house. I'm not very good at pretending not to be tired so once i got to the house via sainsburys for a pillow and something to put on the doorstep i fell asleep, i must have looked a right charmer but i really did'nt give a hoot. SIL arrived just after 2 so all in all i only had to wait just over 2 1/2 hours at the step.

Fell asleep again in the garden (got to remember i went to a party on thursday night) got woke up with MIL pulling my homemade footstool away and i'm still waiting on her saying hello !!!.

I done the good thing and helped clean up for the Nikka the following day before falling into my bed/sofa in front room.

Ok not so exciting but i made it and Glasto got left behind for another year

  • PARTY PEOPLE

Howdidoodie, not long back from my jaunt around the north of england, ok madchesta and leeds but hey the train goes through places so it counts. So much to say about the last week and i will get it done tomorrow as blogland is always a tad sshh at the weekend. I got some lovely photos of the Nakka (think thats how its spelt) and the wilima but sorry guys i'm afraid i'm respecting the females wishes and any pics of the girls without there scarfs will be for the ladies only to see. Bubbled like a baby on several occasions as it was such a momentous experience.

Right off to play with the hamster for a bit as he has missed his wee nest......and i have missed my cosy bed.

Ah met up with the long lost sister and her family so all in all a very busy time was had.

Also bit the bullit and got my hair cut and straigtened, never had straight hair as i love my curlywurlys.
