Scottish water have on there website that the water is now more or less back on but no sorry the breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper dished are still piled up on the bunker. Myself and a neighbour went to get water earlier and the blue containers that they filled earlier and the containers were a empty. I'm not sure how fussed i am about having water rations, carebear and myself regularly wash in rivers and lakes so getting washed is'nt a problem since there is a river 20 minutes walk away. i still have enough water to fill the kettle tomorrow (not wasting water on dishes) Popping in and out to the garden just now and i can see the containers being refilled but it makes me wonder why they have it on there site that its fixed when it quite obviously is'nt. Going to go watch a film now and fall asleep on the couch watching it,carebears already crashed on the couch and since she's nearly the same height as me carrying her to bed is not an option.

And So It Continues
@ 2009-07-05 – 18:52:48
We have been unreliably informed that the wa\ter may not be back on until tuesday. Myself and a neighbour went to the water banks that they have placed in our street to get water and erm well ended up having a water fight. Needless to say only a few were amused. My toilet has been safely flused of the days toilet events so at least the place wont stink tonight. The 12 bottles i ws allocated have quickly disappeared, more to do wiht the fact i'm giving all the eldery in my row some of mine as it really is heavy carrying it back from Asda or the health centre where i hear the water is now being dispersed from. Away to fill up the water guns now

Water Saga
@ 2009-07-05 – 14:47:02
Okay i gave in to pressure and went up to get my 12 allocated bottles of water. Had to go to asda for it well the carpark. They have the police there making sure that no-one skipped the queue or takes more than there share. The majority of the town i live in is waterless. And i have it on good authority (the guy behind me in the queue) that it takes 4 bottles to flush the toilet so i think my loo might be a bit stinky as the day goes on. Pubs have been closed resteraunts, cafe's are also a no go. Scottish water now think that the water may be off until tomorrown night and i have to admit after walking back with 12 bottles of water i'm a tad smelly, oh well that will keep me in good stead for next weekend lol

Having a Laugh
@ 2009-07-05 – 12:58:34
Its ben raining most of the week, had a couple of hours of nice hot sunshine. Here's the hilarious part-my street has no water well no cold water, some numpty from somewhere has cut through the mains pipe but Scottish water has told us not to worry we will be given bottles of water if it's still off at 4 as they can't give it out before the 8 hours is up. Mmmm they already told us we'd be without it til at least tomorrow morning but they are'nt allowed to hand the water out now!!!. This is the bit that has kinda annoyed me, i only put my hot water on every other night because the tank is so big it takes 3 hours to get the water hot so by the time the water is back on tomorrow what is in the tank will be cold. I have filled my kettle the water jug and 3 pots and no doubt i wont use half of it but we do tend to panic in this country. Christmas for example yes the supermarkets are closed for 2 days but do we really need 10 loaves and 20 litres of milk? no not really but we buy it just incase. The sun is finally appearing over the clouds so fingers crossed it gets yummy. I only drink coffee and the odd glass of juice so i doubt i'll be searching the woods for the stream that flows through it. Just another thought whilst i'm on my water tangent, In years to come it won't be electric or gas we will run out of it will be clean water, polloution will kill the fresh water we get from Loch Katrine. I just wonder if when the time comes how many of us will be able to survive without our luxurys (water, electric, gas etc)
Jusat realised ive the perfect excuse for not mopping the kitchen floor and doing the breakfast dishes.
