Had a great time being away, the sun was friendly on sunday at least. The thing that really made the little get away fab was a piper, was up walking through the glen on sunday evening and as we sat on a rock having a gab all you could hear through the trees was a lone piper playing so we walked down abit to see a dog running towards us followed by the bag pipe player. I've heard this guy play before but never seen him, he plays all kind of instruments so was really pleased to finally meet him, we stood and chatted for ages then went a walk through the Glen with him. He's invited me and carebear to open mic night in a little village hall so during the summer were difinetly going to go. Sat by the river on sunday night eating our pasta, the fish were'nt being friendly but thats cool as i don't especially enjoy gutting them when carebears about (her tummys not as strong as mine). Carebear decided to fall in the river twice, i rolled about laughing and thankfully so did she. Mondays weather was pants but we still had a good time, i took the laird up on his offer to stay in one of the disused barns which was probably a good idea as the wind was horrendous and would probably have blown the tent away even though it was pegged down. Had a good chat with her about her dad, she's still refusing to talk to him but if he makes the first move she's promised not to be shy and tell him what she wants not what he wants. I'm not wanting her to have no contact but i dont want her growing up thinking that because i'm not a fan of his then she should'nt be either. Got home today and probably just aswell the weathers appauling its not just rainy but freezing too. All wrapped up in my comfy blanket with the heating on full and my big cosy slippers, stuffed to the gunnels with the kfc i sneakily bought. Away to watch a dvd before properly catching up with blogs. Hope you all had a wicked bank holiday.
