i read a blg last night about the whole palin-mcain thingy bob about not wanted young children taught about well basic sex education and as its a debate currently over here well i thought i'd have my 2 bobs worth,im all for kids to be taught about sex education at a certain age,not about the birds n bees but basic stuff about where its appropriate to be touched etc so it will bring down the numbers of children who are being molested,i also think it will make kids less self aware when there aproaching the dreaded time when they start playing doctors n nurses or the i'll show me mine if you show me yours, kids are naturally innocent in all this,in other european countrys they teach it from a young age and as britain has the highest rate of abortion and teenage mums i really do think it is a good idea.i was on a train months ago with my daughter she looked in one of my bags and found a box of tampoons so i explained to her what they were fro and how in a few years time her body would go through dramatic changes, the wee old lady sitting at the next table gave me the evils and said she was too young for that kind of talk,i dont want my daughter growing up and these things happening to her and being to embaressed about being able to come to me,and i have answered every question she has asked me truthfully, maybe its not rigt but my daughter asked me how babys were made so i simplified it so she would understand the whole concept but also empasising th epoint that it is a precious thing to have and not to be given out willy nillly.well thats me had my 2 bobs worth
